Submissions and presentations

Submissions are invited in the following categories:

  • Abstracts for Conference Days (Wednesday and Thursday), one-page limit per abstract, as in the template. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed.

Generative AI tools are increasingly used in research and academic writing. If you have used generative AI in preparing your submission, please include a brief statement acknowledging this use as part of your submission. e.g., ChatGPT 4o was used as part of the editorial process when drafting this abstract to improve clarity and readability.

Submissions close: 7 May.

Please note you will need to nominate one of the following sub-themes for your submission. The sub-themes will be used to help arrange the program.

  • Curricula and assessments
  • Digital learning and technology (e.g., AI, ICT, VR, AR)
  • Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and student belonging
  • Innovative and transformative teaching
  • Partnerships and cross-sector collaborations
  • Professional and transferable skills for real-world impact
  • STEM for societal impact
  • Other (if your abstract does not fit one of the sub-themes listed above, or you cannot choose between sub-themes, choose this category).

Please use the abstract template, as abstracts must be formatted following the conference style guidelines. They must be a maximum of one page in length and submitted in MS Word or Rich Text format. Do not submit as a pdf file or use use EndNote for referencing as we may not be able to format your abstract for the proceedings if EndNote is used. (If using EndNote or other bibliographic software, remove edit codes prior to submission.)

The abstract you submit for Conference Days (Wednesday and Thursday) may be accepted as a poster or oral presentation. Presentations in parallel sessions will be allocated according to sub-themes. The Program Committee will endeavour to allocate sub-themes based on author recommendations. This will depend on the number of submissions received and the topic of your submission.

If your abstract is accepted as a poster, you may be asked to present a one-minute “elevator pitch” of your poster.

If you would be willing to lead discussions in your discipline, please reach out to the conference organisers via acdsteachinglearning@gmail.com. Where there are multiple expressions of interest from a discipline area, we will connect you up to facilitate planning.

Accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
