ACSME 2026 We are delighted to announce that in 2026 the Australian Conference on Science and Mathematics Education (ACSME) will be held at The University of New South Wales. ACSME 2026 will be held 1 – 3 September. Discipline Day will be held on Tuesday 1 September with the Conference following on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 September. 2026 ACSME theme: Innovating Teaching to Equip Impact-Driven Graduates How do we redesign curricula, assessments and partnerships so graduates are ready to create measurable benefit? Which teaching innovations cultivate the mindsets, skills and ethical compass needed to turn insight into impact? As we move through a period defined by disruption and possibility, we will examine our responsibilities as STEM educators, to our students, our communities and the planet. What evidence shows these approaches work, and for whom? How might we scale what matters, phase out what does not, and build inclusive, authentic learning that connects classrooms with real-world change? We look forward to testing ideas, sharing practice and charting pathways that equip graduates to tackle the challenges that matter most at ACSME 2026. 2026 Organising Committee Co-chair: Kate Jackson, UNSW (kate.jackson1@unsw.edu.au) Co-chair: Sara Kyne, UNSW (s.kyne@unsw.edu.au) Alison Beavis, UNSW (a.beavis@unsw.edu.au) Tracey Kuit, UNSW (t.kuit@unsw.edu.au) Jody Gorman, University of Wollongong (j.wilton@uow.edu.au) Alan McCarthy, UNSW (a.mccarthy@unsw.edu.au) Susan Howitt, ANU (susan.howitt@anu.edu.au) Michelle Harvey, ACDS T&L Centre Director (michelle.harvey@deakin.edu.au) Deborah Jackson, Conference Proceedings, University of Sydney (deborah.jackson@usyd.edu.au) Sue White, ACDS Liaison (executive@acds.edu.au) Contact ACSME organisers acdsteachinglearning@gmail.com
